The AI Adoption programme

From scattered experiments to real capability

Most organisations aren’t short of AI tools or willing people. What they’re missing is a clear, structured path from early adoption to the point where AI genuinely changes how the business performs. This programme builds that path — starting with a deep diagnostic of your organisation, and ending with the internal capability to keep developing long after we’ve left the room.

Clients We’ve Worked With

Our Four-Stage Programme

01 — Discovery

AI Maturity Assessment

We start by finding out where your teams actually are by  conducting a skills assessment, psychographic workforce analysis, and leader interviews to produce a tailored AI Adoption Plan: a clear map of where your organisation is, where it needs to get to, and the most direct route between the two.

No off-the-shelf programmes.
No wasted sessions.

“They facilitated what was, to date, the largest discussion regarding AI adoption and what it means to us. I thought Karrie accurately assessed where we are in our AI adoption process and the effort she put in beforehand came through in the discussion.”

— T.Driscoll, Autnentix

02 — deploy

Senior Leadership Activation

We start at the top, to train your senior leaders with the specific behaviours and frameworks needed to drive adoption. We highlight your AI pioneers and finalise your AI training roadmap. Your existing LMS content mapped, and create tailored content where needed. Whilst using your existing materials where possible.

In our most intensive programmes, skills confidence more than doubled — from 3.0 to 6.3.

03 — BUILD

AI Pioneer Development

Until now, your AI pioneers have been driving adoption informally: answering questions, sharing tips, running impromptu demos, on top of their full day job. That goodwill isn’t scalable, and it isn’t fair on the people carrying it.

We develop them from internal AI champions are developed into a structured force for change from within.

“The practical advice and frameworks were presented in a very entertaining way — easy to understand and put into practice.”

— T.L. Vicente, Pipedrive

04 — MEASURE

Progress Evaluation

6 months following the completion of stage 3, we carry out a full Skills Progress Review. We measure movement against  your baseline and set the agenda for your next phase.

“We stay accountable to outcomes, not just delivery through post session surveys, and active feedback and problem solving sessions.”

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes — and in many cases, organisations that have already made a start get the most from it. If you have early adopters generating results but adoption across the wider organisation has stalled or plateaued, this programme is designed precisely for that moment. The diagnostic in Stage 1 meets you where you are, not where a generic programme assumes you to be.
The full four-stage programme runs over approximately six months. Stage 1: the diagnostic and AI Adoption Plan, typically takes three to four weeks. Stages 2 and 3 run across the following months, with the Skills Progress Review 6 months following the closing of Stage 3. The pace can be adjusted to fit your organisation’s capacity and internal priorities. The bigger the needs, the longer the stages, and vice versa.
Very little. You don’t need an existing LMS, a dedicated L&D team, or a formal AI strategy. What helps most is access to a small group of senior stakeholders for the Stage 1 interviews, and a willingness to identify and involve the people already experimenting with AI inside your organisation. We work with what you have, your people, your data, your training and build from there.
The AI Adoption Programme is the full, end-to-end engagement covering diagnostic, leadership activation, training deployment, and the six-month progress review. The AI Pioneers Programme is one component within it: the structured track that develops your internal AI champions into facilitators of change across their departments. If your organisation already has a clear adoption strategy in place and simply needs to formalise and activate your internal champions, the Pioneers Programme can be taken as a standalone. If you’re starting from a broader question of where to go and how to get there, the full AI Adoption Programme is the right place to begin.
Wonderful, we audit what’s already on your LMS platform as part of Stage 1 and map it directly to the skills needs we identify. Content that’s genuinely fit for purpose is sequenced into the training pathway, so existing investment isn’t duplicated or wasted. Where gaps exist, we fill them with targeted training from The Gen AI Academy faculty. The result is a single, coherent training pathway rather than two competing systems.
Also, not a problem. For organisations without an existing platform, The Gen AI Academy provides a fully hosted learning pathway through our own platform. All courses, playbooks, and cohort materials are accessible in one place.
The programme is priced to reflect your organisation: its size, the number of people in scope, and the capacity required across each stage. Because every engagement begins with a diagnostic rather than a fixed curriculum, there is no single off-the-shelf price. What we can tell you is that the programme is billed in stages as the scope progresses, so investment is tied directly to delivery, and you’re never committed to the full programme before you’ve seen the value of what comes before it. The conversation starts with a discovery call, and from there we’ll give you a clear picture of what the engagement looks like and what it costs.
Stage 1 – the diagnostic, skills assessment, and AI Adoption Plan is led by Karrie Sullivan & Dave Birss, The Gen AI Academy’s senior experts. They have over two decades of experience in change leadership and AI adoption. Karrie has led enterprise Copilot rollouts to over 90% adoption. Stages 2 through 4 are delivered jointly by The Gen AI Academy faculty, with internal AI Pioneers taking on an increasingly active facilitation role as the programme progresses.
The Skills Progress Review gives you a clear, evidence-based picture of how much your organisation has moved towards AI Adoption by function, by cohort, and against the baseline established in Stage 1. From there, most clients either refresh the programme for the next cycle, extend into deeper capability-building work, or bring additional functions into scope. You’ll have everything you need to make that decision with confidence.
